Founded just before the coronavirus pandemic, FIGMENT Jax has had to get creative in order to address our mission to build community through participatory art while maintaining social distance guidelines and keeping participants safe. Last summer, we launched a series of scavenger hunt experiences that led participants around Riverside and Avondale solving puzzles in order to find an interactive popup art installation. As part of one of the treasure hunts, we created the augmented reality Swan Dive mural at the corner of Park Street and Talbot Ave. With in-person gatherings returning, we are thrilled to be working towards FIGMENT in Riverside park this fall.
